Our 14-day promise
You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase, for any reason, with no questions asked.
This applies to every purchase of Lola, wherever you live, whether or not you have downloaded or used the app.
How to ask
Use either of these:
- Through Polar, our reseller and Merchant of Record: use the support link in your receipt email, or write to [email protected].
- By email to [email protected], from the address you used to buy, with your order number if you have it. We will have Polar issue the refund.
The refund covers the full amount you paid, tax included, and goes back to the payment method you used. Polar issues it. How long it takes to appear depends on your bank or payment provider.
What happens to your licence
When a purchase is refunded, its licence key is deactivated and can no longer be used. Please remove Lola from your Macs.
Your dictation history is stored only on your Mac, so it stays there until you delete it with “Delete my data”.
After 14 days
After 14 days, purchases are no longer refundable under this promise. You keep every right the law gives you, for example if Lola does not work as described. Polar may also refund an order under its own buyer terms.
Your legal right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the law gives you 14 days from the day of purchase to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU, article 9; in Malta, the Consumer Rights Regulations, S.L. 378.17).
Because Lola is digital content delivered by download, this legal right ends once the download has started, if you asked for immediate delivery, acknowledged that you would lose the right, and received confirmation of it (Directive 2011/83/EU, article 16(m)).
In practice this makes no difference: our 14-day promise above gives you the same result in every case, even after you have downloaded and used Lola.
The seller in law is Polar, our Merchant of Record. To withdraw, tell Polar clearly, by writing to [email protected], or tell us at [email protected] and we will pass it on. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to.
You will be reimbursed within 14 days of your decision reaching Polar or us, with the same means of payment you used, at no cost to you.
